In CPR’s research into hurdles to disruptive purchasing and factors to overcome them, focus group participants expressed a critical gap in knowledge within organizations—finance staff could better understand the nuances of health care purchasing compared to procuring other products or services.  This lead CPR to develop a new type of resource for HR/Benefits staff. The HR/Benefits & Finance Discussion on Health Care Market Dynamics and Disruptive Purchasing Strategies aims to address this gap by providing essential information on the dynamics purchasers face relative to payers and providers, and available strategies at their fingertips to reclaim power in the health care market, empowering HR/benefits staff to educate their finance counterparts. Together, they can forge a collaborative path towards becoming more disruptive purchasers of health care.
